Went out to the park to take dragonfly pictures. These are my first ones done this year. Here are a few of my favorites.

Railfanning

So, my son likes to rail fan and make you tube videos. His videos are quite good. Occasionally I will go with him and take pictures. We did this on June 30th and here are a couple of the shots I took.

Better Butterfly Pictures

It was less windy today and I was able to get some better butterfly pictures. Here are a couple.

Yellow Swallowtail

My neighbor has a butterfly bush near the mailboxes. I was fortunate to catch a yellow swallowtail on one of the flowers.

My Echinacea

So my Echinacea has come back this year. I bought my two plants and the end of the season last year. I got some flowers then but now I am happy to have found my first bloom this year. Here are a couple of pictures. I like the creamy background of the first flower but the sun came out and made to color a little better in the second one.

Hard at Work

The flowers on the bushes are blooming and the honey bees are hard at work. Of course I was out with my camera taking pictures. I like this picture the best. Did some minor cropping to get rid of some empty space. Those bees were fast. I caught to bees in the second picture but only one of them is in good focus.

Distractions

I am so distracted by nature. I can't resist flowers and bugs and bugs on flowers. LOL I can be walking around and the flowers say come take my picture. I must obey! Really though, I just love taking pictures of nature whenever I come across it.

Hanging Rock

Went hiking up at Hanging Rock State Park in Danbury, NC. It was a fun but tough climb up. The view was worth the work. Here it is.

Photo Safari

I went on a photo safari in the front yard. Found a couple interesting things. Here they are.

3 Mile Hike

Went hiking at a local park with a 3 mile hiking trail through the woods. Hiked with my son and enjoyed the time outdoors. The weather was perfect. Here are a couple of pictures.

Well Spring is in the air so it is time to start taking pictures! I worked on taking a dogwood picture followed by a dragonfly. Hope you like them.

Moon Shot

Looked out the window and saw the moon rising over the trees. Took several pictures. These two are my favorites.

Went to the Park

So I went to the park today and took pictures of dragonflies and ducks. Took a ride in a paddle boat. It was fun. Fed the ducks from the boat. Here are some of the duck pictures.

Sunflowers in June

Josh Hedgecock has grown some great sunflower plants. I had fun taking pictures of his flowers.

Another Perspective

I usually lie down in the grass to get pictures of dandelions but this time my son picked one and we decided to hold it up so that the sky was the background. It is one of those beautiful sky days. Here is how it turned out. Thanks for the help Joshua Hedgecock.

The Dogwoods are blooming and the sky is that lovely Carolina blue. Love to take pictures of it.

Spring At Last

Spring is my favorite season and my neighbor's flowers are one of my favorite subjects. Here are some blooms from one of her small trees.

Planes and Trains

Been watching lots of transportation lately. Spent a day at an airport and was lucky enough to see a Stearman Biplane flying. Then went with my son to watch the train go by. As always, I had permission to be where I was and never trespassed. It was a fun couple of afternoons.

More Autumn Pix

Lately the weather has been from the 60's up to the 80's and this weekend it is going to bottom out with highs in the 40's and 50's. All these cool temps have the leaves church.
